April 3-4
Wellington

Has set the alarm to eight o’clock but I’m awake already seven a clock. Down the kitchen is complete empty no queue at the kitchen counters. After my breakfast and bathroom visit I take the bicycle downtown and cycling around. Notify there is lots of outdoor and bicycle shops , new zealanders seems to like cycling and do outdoor activities.
Along the roads, I’ve spotted hundreds of camping vans, and the campsites are impressively well maintained.

Nice bike and CO2 free

Short after noon I take the localbus up to the Wellington lookout view at Mount Victoria. There is also a cabel car up to the top but 4 times more expensive than the local bus.

Ten minutes later, the bus stopped at the very top, 196 meters above sea level, where a magnificent view of Wellington deep in Fitzroy bay wich flows into the Cook Strait beneath me.

After the summit visit, I make my way down town to the bus stop and pick up the bike that I locked up before I went up to the top.
The weather is sunny and perfect temperatur for an “cycling around Wellinhton tour” Did some coffee break, visit some stores without
buying anyhthing, stepepd into national museum, Te Pa

When darkness begins to fall shortly after 5 .30 p.m. I turn my bicycle heading my hostel but when passing Waterfront I stopped at Moon and Fruit

Dibble’s Fruits of the Garden sits at the edge of Frank Kitts Park, Waterfront

It appears the sculpture has become the hottest celebrity in town, attracting a swarm of photography enthusiasts armed with tripods, and naturally, I’ll be joining the paparazzi line-up too.

Back at my hostel, I prepare my evening meal and tomorrow’s trip to New Plymouth to meet Rhys, Diana and their dog Gerlad. After my late dinner I took a lovely shower  and then up to my room 911.

See yea later
