I’ve been touring ride for many years, mostly during my anual holidays, 3-4 weeks at the time. Europe has been most common desatinations but also a trip around Cuba.

2008

Kalmar To Paris

My first longer tour on bike.
3 Weeks and 1450 km from Kalmar to Eiffeltower in Paris.
Osnabrück and Maastricht I remember with a positiv mind
My itinerary was too short planned to experience Paris as it is known but Eiffeltowe was something x-tra

After this bike ride I was sold for touring rides

2009

Around Eire

3 Weeks and 810 km crossing the green island Eire
Dublin – Galway and Cliffs oh Moher was the main goal.

Whiskey testing in Midleton and some paints of Guinness beer.
Dublin is worth a visit, Temple Bar Area, Guinness Storhouse.

Eire or Ireland is perfect for cycling adventures. Lots of network of roads and especially small roads, eg boreens means you
don’t need super planning, just follow your nose

2010

North Italy

3 weeks and 1200 km from Innsbruck over Brennerpass to visit Venedig, Pisa.
Lago di Garda is beautiful but expensive. I found both Venedig and Pisa over advertised.

The coastline by Ligurian sea was someting else to join and best of all was Cinque Terra.
Five small villages in a row along Ligurian sea with houses in colors like rainbow.
Never miss to vist these divinely beautiful villages… Never!

2011

Scotland and Isles

Three weeks and 1310 km and one of my best cycletrip ever.
Scotland, Highlands and Isles is a single large world heritage site.

Isle Of Sky and  Lewis and Harris is two gorgeous isles to vist.
The road from Ullapool up to Cape of Wrath was breathtakingly beautiful. Inverness and Nellie is also worth a visit and absolutly Glen Coe valley

Don’t forget to visit Falkirk  and  The Falkirk Wheel, world’s one and only rotating boat lift.A marvel of engineering and
Forth Rail Bridge about 16 miles west of Edinburg.

Stay some day in Edinnburgh you will never regret it, I don’t and I love english breakfast

2012

Donau and Adrian Sea

3 Weeks and 1200 km. Budapest is a favorite town. Lots of magnificent and beautiful bridges.
Dont miss Maribor, Postojna and Lipica known for the Lipica Stud Farm, the origin of the Lipizzan horse.

Cycling along Adriatic Sea is wonderful but Split is over advertised

2013

Cuba

4 weeks 1150 km through an absolutely wonderful Cuba. World class beaches, cheap, Hemingway pub, cigars, cars from the 50s s of and very cheap rum
Will never forget this trip

2014

Full Loop Wales

Full lopp Wales , 3 Weeks and 1300 km. Another one of my most unforgettable cycling trips.

Llangollen a small village by the rivere Dee one of my favorietes gave me unforgettable memories especially cycling path by the
little boat canal almost to Wrexham. A divinely beautiful and for the soul soothing cycle path

Liverpool and Albert docck, Beatles museum always in my mind.I still remember, and have a clear picture in front of me of the room where John Lennon’s white Grand Piano stand alone in the corner. Became something religious over it.
What ever you do… don’t miss it

Aberystwyth, Fishguard, St:David in Wales west coast is gorgeous for everything and your soul.

2015

Portugal & Maderia

3 weeks 1200 km.First Algarve tour the two days rest i Lisboa before I  hired one week mountainbike tour on Madeira.
Best time to visit Madeira is spring and flowers will explode for you. Island hilly, tough cycling then ended by getting to swim
with dolphins in Funchal. Back to Lisboa

2016

Turkey & Capadokia

4 weeks 1480 km  from Ankara to Göreme in Kapadoyka where I flew with a hot air balloon at 5am  in the morning at sunrise…an incomparable experience
UNESCO World Heritaged GÖREME National Park and  the Rock sites of Cappadokia is a must visit. You almost fell you are on a differnet planet, stone formation like you aer on the moon.

The people of  Turkey is very friendly, curious and generous. Don’t ever miss Istanbul. A city belongings both to middle East ane Europe…Not to mention all adorable mosques
